What items should not be stored in a storage unit?

Items like perishable foods, hazardous substances (e.g., gasoline or flammable chemicals), live plants, animals, and firearms should not be stored. Some items could violate safety regulations or pose a risk to other units.
Is insurance required?

While insurance may not be required, it’s strongly recommended to protect your belongings. Some renters can extend their homeowners or renters insurance to cover stored items. Ask us about affordable insurance options available directly through Blue Mountain Storage if you need extra coverage.

Am I allowed in after business hours?

Yes. You may access your unit any time. If you need access to any of our locations outside of business hours, give us 12 hours notices and we’ll have a manager ready to let you in.
How long can I rent a storage unit?

Units are available on a month-to-month basis, providing flexibility for both short- and long-term needs. For those interested in extended rentals, we may offer discounts or other incentives. Contact us to discuss the best rental plan for your situation.
How can I tell if a unit is available?

Do I get my deposit back?

Yes! If you give a 10 day notice and the unit is left clean with no damage, you can receive your deposit back. You could lose your deposit if you move your move-out dates last minute or have a history of late rental payments. If you don’t provide notice, you forfeit your deposit.
What is the move out process?

Blue Mountain Storage makes moving out easy! Give us 10 days notice by texting or scheduling your move out online. Send us a picture of your storage unit entirely cleaned out, and let us know if you notice anything that needs to be fixed.
